In 2014, Trip Advisor has revealed Asia’s top restaurants for local cuisines, where Tek Sen Restaurant was ranked second in the list. It has won accolades amongst locals and foreigners for its nostalgic Malaysian-Chinese food with 290 reviews and a 4.5 out of 5 bubble rating. Equipped with a clean and charming interior, Tek Sen offers a wide range of Chinese dishes that have been passed down through generations.

One Trip Advisor reviewer exclaimed, “The intensity of flavour and perfection per dish that you’d expect from a hawker, but with the expansive menu and the brick and mortar establishment it is accessible to everyone!”

As it can be seen from Trip Advisor, up to 2015, Tek Sen is ranked 28 of 1,058 restaurants in Penang Island, and it is ranked 15 of 482 restaurants in Georgetown. Tek Sen has also been awarded the Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor.
